Mavis Allen

Allen, Mavis age 77, of Bloomington, passed away Jan. 9, 2011. Mavis was born and raised in Strawberry Point, IA. She married Dick Allen in 1952, moving to Mpls. in 1957 where Dick taught high school. Mavis was an avid volunteer at St. Stephen Lutheran Church and School. She enjoyed playing bridge and attending Red Hat Society functions. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dick Allen. Survived by son, Mark (Regan); daughter, Barbara (Bradford III) Silk; grandchildren, Justine (Chancy) Nordick, Kelsie and Elise Allen, Ashley and Bradford IV Silk; sister, Reva (Doc) Bunting; brothers, Lloyd (Fonda) Schuchmann and Hal (Mary Ann) Schuchmann. Memorials preferred to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Funeral service Thursday, Jan. 13 at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 8400 France Ave S., Bloomington.
