Dear Marvel and family,

I am deeply sorry to learn that Reid passed away. I was in Reid's retail
counselor class in the Fall of 1985.
It was clear that Reid was truly one of a kind and "called it as it was".
He did not mince his words.
I remember his retirement dinner and
the throng of people in attendance.
He was highly respected and well liked.
Reid always had a genuine interest in
the retail counselors going through
their training and it was a memorable
time in my life.
You and your family have my sincere sympathy and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Mary Ann Hutton Tayloe

Marvel and Family,
I so enjoyed talking with Reid. I loved razzing him about the grocery business especially while I was employed at a grocery deli and a member of Food Handlers Union.
Hannah reminded me that Reid taught her how to whistle and he loved listening to her perfect the art. Lots and lots of great memories that we can all smile about. A great man that will be greatly missed.

To the Family of Reid Millard,
I am so saddened to hear the news of Reid's passing. Reid was one of the cornerstones at Supervalu for many years. He was my mentor and often gave me sound advice in the early days of my career. He had the innate ability to simplify business and help you focus on things that were relevant and inportant, never losing sight on the main goal that was to always serve the customer. When I saw Reid in the years during his retirement, he would light up and always take time to ask me how I was doing. I will always remember his wisdom and willingness to take time to listen. I know you have lost a father, husband and friend. I join in your grief and wish you God's blessing and comfort during this difficult time in your loss.
