Missy and Hehr Family-
So sorry to read this sad news. I remember your mom clearly as happy and jolly all the time. She was very welcoming as well. Also she was a great cook. Again, so sorry for your loss. Andy Schneider

With deepest sympathy to the Hehr family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 46:1 says: God is for us a refuge and strength during this difficult time and May God grant you the comfort to endure.

Don, Mel, Missy, Mike and Families-
My brother, Jeff, just called me and told me about this terrible news. What can I say about a woman so kind, generous and thoughtful! Doris let us come over and play, she fed us and cared for us when we were young. In middle school, my family was leaving town and I came down with chicken pox and Doris let me stay the weekend at their home and take baths while I was itching like crazy. It didn't even phase her to have another child to care for. She was special and her kindness will never be forgotten.
I hope your family is doing well aside from this terrible loss. I grieve with you and from my whole family - we care and wish you the very best. Jeff said, "Make sure you tell them how much we appreciated Doris and her sweet nature."
We have a family wedding this weekend and will have to miss the service, but we will be thinking of you all.
My (our) sincerest condolences,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We were cousins first but friends forever. She left me with many wonderful memories. She is now with her Lord and Savior and will greet you all again one day in Heaven. She is at peace and I prayer your good memories will bring you peace. With love and our sincere sympathy

Missy, Kyla, Mel, Ronda and family: We are thinking of you and praying for peace, strength, and grace to be at your disposal during this difficult grieving process. I can tell you that the loss of a parent is a life-long process but one that brings less pain and more peaceful memories as time goes on.
Your Mom/Grandma has a special spot in my memories. I can clearly see her face beaming with joy as she sat back and watched Kyla play with friends dancing all around at her early birthday parties. She also passed on what is now my favorite picnic salad (pasta, coleslaw mix, bacon, cherry tomatoes) and I think of her every time I make it.
