Crandall, Rollin C. age 85, Minnetonka, passed away on May 27, 2012, after a short illness and a long, fabulous life. Married 65 years to Washburn High classmate Jeanne (Chase); survived by Jeanne and sons Kenneth (Susan) Crandall, Dr. Robin (Jackie) Crandall, Mark (Diane) Crandall and daughter Sue Jean Boyan; Grandchildren Carla, Allison, Travis, Wade, Clark, Holly, Matt, Ross & Paul; great-grandchildren Jacob and Abby Jean. U.S. Navy Signalman in the Philippine Islands WWII. Custom home builder 25 years in Glen Lake-Mtka area before volunteering for 8 non-consecutive years with Jeanne for Peace Corps assignments in Sierra Leone, Tonga, Fiji & Costa Rica. Past Master Albert Pike Lodge #237 AF&AM, Hopkins & Past Patron Ida McKinley Chapter #178, Hopkins. Rollie's enthusiasm for life revealed his distinctive skills in construction, bowling, golf & tomatoes. His giving spirit and ready smile will be forever missed. Heartfelt thanks to the many angels employed at Park Health & Rehab Center & the Park Nicollet Hospice caregivers, Yvonne, Karoline, Gretchen and Chaplain Peter Lund. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors for Rollie, an incredible man.
