Nelson, David Dennis Age 74, of Bloomington, MN went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, August 4, in Tucson, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon Nelson, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Lynne, his four children, Steven (Jessica) Nelson, Laura Lacy, Andrew (Naomi) Nelson, Michael (Eri) Nelson, step children Wendy (Paul) Cossentine and Brian Nelson, and eleven grandchildren. Dave was very active in the Boy Scouts and had earned its highest honor of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School, Northwestern Electronics School, and Western Michigan University. He served in the Air Force and worked on the NORAD National Air Defense SAGE System. He was a computer consultant by trade and a jack-of-all trades for his family. There was hardly anything this godly man could not fix or build. He and his quiet, gentle, caring ways will be sorely missed by his friends and family. A memorial service will be held at Hillside Church, 4300 West 98th Street, Bloomington, MN on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM with interment at Grand View Cemetery in Hopkins, MN.
