Kerry: Thank you so much for calling me this morning and telling me about your mom's passing. She was a very special lady. I first met her at a craft show down in a baseball field I think around 106th Street. We both did plastic canvas. If she wasn't at a show I was at she always came to see me. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Paul and your families. I still can't believe she is gone. Thanks again for your call. Your mom was one very very special friend to me. Kerry and Paul and family I am so sorry in your loss of Dorothy. I just heard last eve or I would have been at the funeral. I have so many memories of Dorothy - we worked together at FSH for many years - I could tell so many many stories. Was to her home so many times and we talked on the phone so often. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She didn't have a lot of money but she just loved life - a bike ride, a golf game, a Twins game, her family. She and Howard came to our home and took a family picture - many many years ago. It was a great picture. I have so many of the little things she made - I use her little Christmas wreaths for napkin holders every year. We would laugh these last years how she would go to bed so early. She enjoyed her red hat groups so much. She just had the greatest attitude- she was so happy that Paul had found such a nice gal to share his life. She gave me the idea of a baked potato party. So proud of Kerry and her family - all the grandchildren. She worked hard - going from FSH and then Camp Snoopy. I have gone one too much - but I will miss Dorothy and I will carry so many memories in my heart. Am so sorry I didn't know - I feel I didn't say good-by and I would have liked to have seen all of you. Mary Swisher

Thank you to all of you dear friends who have entered kind words, condolences and memories! Wow, to see entries from long time friends from grade school to college! Life is very rich and very precious. Mom was blessed to be surrounded by the love of others with smiles, laughter, time and talent. This has been a very shocking and difficult week and I miss Mom so much already! Thank you for loving Mom and sharing her life and for your expressions of sympathy.
God Bless You!

I was saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. I and many others have fond memories of working with her at Knott's Camp Snoopy. She had such a great spirit. I remember her telling me, after dealing with a difficult customer, 'Don't you just wish you could punch them in the nose? Yes, Dorothy, I do wish that many times.' She was a great woman, and my life is better for having known her.

Kerry & Paul, Please accept my heartfelt prayers for you and your families at this time of mourning. Kerry Ann, you were the first person I knew who collected angels so I am certain you will find strength in the "unseen" at this time. God bless! Laura James (lori braddock)

We are going to miss Dorothy's visits to the Bloomington Target photo lab.. She loved to share her "red hat" photos and stories with us. She certainly enjoyed life. She was quite a gal.

Dear Dorothy, you and I had alot of fun together.Tusseled once in a while, especially about my driving ; usually cause I took a different route than you would have. HA Ha, but we only got lost about 3 times. that wasnt to bad. But heck, nothing ever really big. I loved you and I know you loved me too. You have so many friends that care and will miss you SO much.
I cant even imagine going to the Halloween party without you or even going to the sale in Nov at the H O P church where you thought I was the best salesman ever for your RED HATS! This would have been my 3rd year helping you there. Awe nuts. You were a wonderful friend and I know you want us to celebrate your life and all the fun we all had with you. you loved all your Red Hat sisters and TOPS pal so much and we all knew it, and we loved you too. I will NEVER go to another event that you wont be on my mind. you will be with me forever. I love you Dorothy..............................................your pal Joyce Morrison

Lady Dorothy will be missed and remembered by "The Red Hat Hop n' Moms". She had been a member of our group from 2007. We enjoyed her humor, her laughter & her friendship.
She loved sharing photos she would take, sending a joke on the computer and crocheting all those little Red Hats and scarves.
I'm so glad I was able to share part of this wonderful ladies life with her.
My sympathy to her family and to all those who loved her.
