Vikstrom, Dorothy L. Age 87, of Plymouth, passed away on Dec. 17. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Russell; parents, Algot and Lillian Larson of Jamestown, NY; brothers, Milburn, Marshall and twin brother, Donald Larson. Survived by children, Carol (Tom), Kathleen, Susan & Daniel (Kim) Vikstrom; grandchildren, Nathan (Holly), Benjamin, Andrew (Kristie), Molly (Matt), Joseph, Nicholas, Brittany, Kate, Bailey and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Emma, Riley and David; nephews and niece. Dorothy was a graduate of North Park College, Chicago, and Millard Fillmore Hospital nursing school, Buffalo, NY. She married Russell on Dec. 31, 1948. They served a 3-point parish in Kennedy, MN before being called to the Lutheran Bible Institute in Mpls. Dorothy was a 50-year member of Holy Nativity Lutheran in New Hope where she served as parish visitor and tireless volunteer. She was instrumental in starting the Annex Teen Clinic in Robbinsdale & worked as a nurse at Colonial Acres Care Center in Golden Valley. She loved church activities, singing, serving, visiting, welcoming, giving and caring. Her great joy was spending time with friends and family; her grandchildren consider her "The World's Best Grandma." Visitation at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th and W. Broadway on Friday, Jan. 4th, 4-7 pm. Memorial service at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, 39th and Winnetka Ave. N, New Hope on Saturday, Jan. 5th, 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am.
