Phillips, Edward Jay 66, of Minneapolis, died Friday, April 8, 2011, after a courageous nine-year battle against multiple myeloma. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his adoring children, Hutton, JJ, Dean and Tyler. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Karin; grandchildren, Daniela and Pia; parents, Pauline and Mort Phillips; sister, Jeanne Phillips (Walter Harris), and the most extraordinary friends the world has ever known. Eddie was a man of great generosity, humility, humor and kindness whose impact on his community and those that knew him will endure for generations to come. His success in business, love for family and friends and advocacy for those less fortunate were hallmarks of a beautiful life. Funeral service 11 AM, MONDAY, April 11th at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. So. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (themmrf.org).
