My husband, Richard Mathiowetz, and Fred knew each other for many years through his working at Ziegler and then we helped him start his large accomplishment at Rebuild Resources. He was a good friend as well as a business associate. God Bless Him.

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing. My family and I used to love hearing my dad, Tony Kuchan, talk about the escapades of the "Magnificent Seven" (the Canton boys). My parents had such fun over the years with Fred and Barb. I know they treasured the friendship. I'm sure my dad was there to welcome Fred to his new home with open arms!

Dear Barb,

Our deepest condolences to you and your family. You and Fred were so very dear and special to Mom and Dad (Martha and Tony Kuchan). All the years and experiences you shared together enriched their lives immensely. Fred was the thousandth man for Dad, as he was for Fred. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you as you deal with the loss of your beloved husband and father. May the support of loved ones sustain and comfort you through this difficult time.

Freddie, you fantastic, wild change agent! We will miss you, but your spirit infected all of us positively - so very postively. As a guy in recovery, and as a construction industry advisor, you and I shared two special bonds, which I will never forget. Between us, we kept several decades of sobriety! To your family: some people walk through life wondering in they ever made a difference. You need never worry about that with Freddie. He was a rock of a man, an insipiration and the ultimate 12-stepper. He made a difference constantly. God has a special place for him alongside our Savior, Jesus, where Freddie will probably tire Him out with ideas for building and improving on Heaven's glory! Tom Emison

Fred was really another brother to my Dad, Tony Kuchan, and he and Barb were wonderful friends to my Mother, Martha. I grew up hearing stories of Fred's and Tony's escapades. I know they will continue to enjoy each other always.

Barb and family,

PJ and I want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to you at this difficult time of grief. I can already picture Fred up at the pearly gates asking, "Why are we building all these prisons?".

As you know, Fred was like a father/brother to me and I feel truly blessed to have been on his team for so many years with Rebuild and having him as my sponsor was a Godsend, indeed.

It is not possible to count all the lives that Fred touched over the years. I know that I am among the hundreds that can thank him for the sobriety and life that I enjoy today. I also know that all the many accomplishments that Fred achieved would not have been possible if it were not for you being by his side. You were HIS ROCK, the anchor of the family and Fred told me many times how much he owed to your patience and love.

We love you and as Fred always said when we parted, "Keep the Faith"

Jim
