Nolting, Gerard M. Age 57, of Minneapolis, died suddenly of a heart attack on October 8, 2012. Gerry was a loving and much beloved husband and father. He was fabulous-energetic and passionate about everything he did, whether coaching t-ball, the South High School mock trial team, or rescuing a Boston terrier from Minnehaha Creek. As a longtime partner at the law firm of Faegre Baker Daniels, he represented thousands of commercial fishers and business owners in the Exxon Valdez and BP oil spill litigation, giving a voice to many who otherwise would not have been heard. Survived by his wife of 32 years, Elissa Mautner; daughters, Annie and Maggie; father, Hal; six siblings; many other relatives and friends. A celebration of all things Gerry, including his well-worn red Crocs, will be held Friday, November 23, 2012, service at 12 Noon at the Minikahda Country Club, 3205 Excelsior Boulevard, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. (www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org)
