I am remembering dad on this day a day after he died April 6, 2011. He always said when you see the flowers and the bees and the birds say hello to me because that´s where I will be and I still do that and today!! I am saying, "Hello Dadio" with all the beautiful spring flowers coming out and the baby hawks above learning how to fly.

Thinking about Jimmy Giving a tag to everyone..Bobs was "Blowfeldort", mine was "Nannygoat" He endeared himself forever to my sonsnmother-in-law when he said to Beth Oh you brought you sister! His own tag "Footy or The Foot" I think started as a kid..he kind of threw his foot when he waklked.Ann his feet were big! The classic story , family trip to europe where they rented a VW bug & it wasn't running right..took it to a mechanic & he came out roaring with laughter & holding a large shoe which had been wedged onder controls! I hope you & the girls will put together a book about this lovely man..I miss him so..Nancy Goughnour

I got to know Jim in the last decade of his life. The first time I met him he had just come into a bakery fresh from a workout at jones Harrison with his hair all messed up and wearing what some might have thought were pajamas. I thought some institution is missing a person. His wonderful personality made you look beyond all of that. We became fast friends and soon barb was joining in on our visits. We would have the the best conversations filled with lots of belly laughs. Whenever he came in we all would ask "Jimmy how are you doing today". He would respond with "I'm on the right side of the grass". Jim I think you know it doesn't matter what side of the grass you are on.

Jamis drew a crowd everywhere with his quick wit and occasional belly-deep laugh. I enjoyed my conversations with him and Barbara. He was an exceptional man and a wonderful artist.

Barb & Family -
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. 65 years of marriage - that's amazing! It was good to see you at Jackie's retirement party. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so happy I have one of his paintings hanging on my living room wall. He has been a wonderful friend, to me and my family, for many years. He will be missed.

I only met him once but know that his creativity came on down the line through his daughter Lucy. I know both of Lucy's parents passed on to her that bigness of spirit that embraces life, taking whatever is offered and creatively making it into something bold and beautiful and without limits. May his spirit pass gracefully into that next place.
