Slaikeu Nolan, Katherine Elizabeth 33, of Minneapolis, born Aug. 1, 1976 in Lincoln, NE; passed away May 9. Preceded by her grandparents, Rev. Arthur Slaikeu, Rev. Reuben Holm, and Betty Calkins. Survived by husband, Chris Nolan; mother, Kay Stewart; father, Steve Slaikeu; sister, Kristen Slaikeu; brother, Andrew Slaikeu; stepfather, Rev. Gordon Stewart; grandmother, Margaret Slaikeu Holm; grandfather, Raymond Calkins, Lincoln, NE; stepbrothers, Doug Stewart, NYC, and John Stewart, KY; and by beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. Katherine grew up in Lincoln, NE and Austin, TX. She earned her B.A. in German and History, cum laude, in 2000 from Centenary College of Louisiana. She won the Kimberly Hanger Award for student historical research, and after graduating, spent a year in Germany as a Fulbright Fellow. A senior paralegal in the Litigation Division of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Katherine flourished in her career and in her friendships there.
