My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I knew Ken many many years ago when my mom worked at Mid-Am (Linda Goede) I just remember when I was young how he always had a smile and how nice he was. Sorry to hear of his passing. Gods blessings Amy (Goede) Graunke

Dear Elaine and family,
I worked with Ken for a few short years from 1977 to 1980, and then saw him occasionally after that. I was a young guy, directly out of college. I appreciated everything Ken did to help me during those years. He was knowledgeable and willing to teach. He was a friend.
Time flies by and with a busy life, I unfortunately have not remained in contact with people like Ken that have influenced me through my life. I am grateful for having known him.
May you all find peace in what the Lord offers us all. I have to believe Ken and the Lord have shared a few stories and laughs already. May Ken rest in peace!
With sympathy,

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

It came as a shock to me to hear that Ken was gravely ill and that he had passed away just a few days after hearing that news. I am glad I got to see him over the summer. I imagine that he slowed down some over the years, but an early memory I have of him was when he came to Elbow Lake to paint our house. It was a large two story structure with 30 foot eaves, but I remember my Dad saying that he painted it in two days. It took me about a week when I painted it a couple of times. He didn't waste any time getting there, either. It was 135 miles and 14 towns between Winsted and Elbow. But, I also recall my Dad asking him, when he arrived, how long it took him to get there. He looked at his watch and replied, "An hour and a half". You can do the math. He will be missed.

Bruce, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. If your dad was anything like you, he was an amazing man. Happy thoughts to you and your family during this difficult time. ~Stephanie Otto (Rogers)
