Linda grew up in Cherry Grove, MN, a very small town in southeastern MN. She started Nursing School in Rochester, MN, but before finishing, she got married, had a baby, and moved to Alexandria, MN where she worked at United Telephone (Sprint) for over 25 years. Technology changes made her job at the phone company obsolete, so she went back to school to follow her original passion of nursing. She then got a job at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN where she worked for over 10 years until her health forced her into retirement at age 65. Linda lost her life to ovarian cancer on August 11, 2013 after a 3.5 year battle. Throughout the ordeal she never lost her positive outlook or sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family that loved her.
