Reid was truly a great friend who would let me know when the Golf Gods were calling our names. We had some of the most memorable golf games in my life. I was an art dealer in the 80's and 90's, which is how I got to know him. I truly miss him and will always remember our last conversation. Cheers to my great friend!!!!

Dear Mary Beth, Love has no end. Reid’s love for you is never ending. When I think of Reid, I see a crooked, antic-like, smile. I feel his presence in a fun and wiggly way. His aura of love and finding joy in each day, is felt in so many ways. The rain, the snow, the sunsets, the beauty all around, still remind me of him. He was a gift and treasure in your life. Hold close, all of your memories. I send my love to you, Mary Beth, always. Eternity will bring you together. I send my care as well. I’m so proud of you and who you are. I wish you peace and happiness.

Dear Mary Beth..........of course there are no words to describe this tradgedy...As you know I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Reid as a painter and rock climber. He and I shared these two passions, going on painting trips as well as climbing trips. Those time were just great!!!! Reid and myself competitive yet always enjoying each others company, Sometimes sketched out on a hard scary climb, or painting side by side, in the great outdoors.Reid so funny, like a kid and me following his great humor........................man we had some GOOD TIMES...............What a loss.......I wish I could just pick the phone up and plan a trip..........Tom Wezwick

This is a special time to celebrate Reid and his gift of painting and color. It will feature many of his works and paintings. He had a gift to see color, landscapes and all that nature has to show us. Reid could see things that no one else could. We all miss him so much and his laughter and his quick wit. His paintings show much about his abilities and his love of the outdoors. His paintings leave a legacy of so many things in his life. Please stop by to admire, hug Mary Beth, or to stare in wonder at all of his works. He was truly a gift to this world. His intensity, love and gift lives on in many of us and through his work. Reid, you did good! I love ya! Bonnie

Dear mrs Galey
I just heard the sad news and I do not know the words to express my sorrow end my condolences
I knew Reid from Snyders drug where I worked and from Tom next door where we would meet buying food and treats for the dogs !!
After a few times seeing him I discovered with joy his talent as an artist His talent as a cook and his fascinating life His great sense of humor and most of all he never complained once while in pain with his back What a hero

There are no words strong enough to tell you how sad I am for you and your family
I am thinking of you and keep you in my prayers

Mary Beth,
I am shocked and saddened by the loss of your dear Reid. He was my first plein air teacher. His easy going and fun loving "view" of the world left me encouraged to continue outdoor painting. I will cherish the inspiration of this gentle teacher. May you find comfort in your memories. One day the memories will make you laugh again.

Dear Mary Beth,

Dear Mary Beth,
It was with shock and great sadness, that we learned of Reid's death. We always looked forward to your parents Christmas letter in which they brought us up-to-date on all of your family. We knew that Reid was a very talented artist and that you had a very happy life together. How terribly unfortunate that it was cut short. May the knowledge of Christ's enduring love for all His children, strengthen you and give you peace. We hold you up in our thoughts and prayers.

February 4, 2010

Dear Mary Beth,
Please accept our condolences at the untimely pasing away of Reid. We are deeply shocked and saddened at hearing this news. May God give you strength to endure the pain. We are remembering you in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary Beth,

Your soul mate was such a dear, dear friend to me....always. From the big bear hugs when I needed one to the care packages for my road trips to the BBQ cookouts we shared to the influential painting tips he offered to the home protection he provided...and so on...Reid was more than generous with his love, friendship and support.

And boy was his happiness contagious! If there was one important blessing he bestowed on me, it would be to slow down and take the time to not only appreciate the loved ones in my life, but just enjoy life in general. He was so good at doing that. He loved you so much, Mary Beth.

As time passes and as you return to life's routine, please know that you are loved and my door is always open!

Reid will always hold a special place in my heart.

Much love,
Connie

MB....

My sweet sister. I feel your pain and can offer you little comfort. There are no words, actions, or events that can cover the pain of a loss so great, your soulmate Reid. I look at the words written by others, stunned, shocked, sad, sorry, loved, missed, blessed to have known him, and think to myself that we all are challenged to try to find words. There are none to really express the feelings. In all this know that YOU ARE LOVED and Reid was too.

I took several painting classes from Reid. I loved his sense of humor and playfulness. And his paintings were spectacular! I remember he threw one of his "demos" in the trash and one of my classmates dug through it later to get the painting out. We'll really miss him at the Art Center. He was a good man.

Dear Mary Beth,
My prayers and thoughts are with you in your time of loss. We had good times hanging out together with you and Reid in Texas and Minnesota. I will always remember Reid cooking for us when we traveled to Texas and visited the OPTUM office. He was a good man, husband and friend. I saw the love the two of you had for each other-it was neat to see. It was good seeing you last Saturday at the service for Reid.

Take care,

It is with sorrow that I type this note to you Reid, and also to Mary Beth, of whom I have not met.
Reid was my artistic leader for a few classes over the years. He had a great influence on me, and my now fiancée Susan, of whom I met in Reid's class. We will miss him dearly, but will hold our heads high knowing we flew with an eagle, and are better for it, everyday.
God bless, and may time heal and give peace.
