Reid was truly a great friend who would let me know when the Golf Gods were calling our names. We had some of the most memorable golf games in my life. I was an art dealer in the 80's and 90's, which is how I got to know him. I truly miss him and will always remember our last conversation. Cheers to my great friend!!!!

Dear Mary Beth..........of course there are no words to describe this tradgedy...As you know I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Reid as a painter and rock climber. He and I shared these two passions,going on painting trips as well as climbing trips. Those time were just great!!!! This is a special time to celebrate Reid and his gift of painting and color. It will feature many of his works and paintings. He had a gift to see color,landscapes and all that nature has to show us. Reid could see things that no one else could. We all miss him so much and his laughter and his quick wit. His paintings show much about his abilities and his love of the outdoors. Your soul mate was such a dear, dear friend to me....always. From the big bear hugs when I needed one to the care packages for my road trips to the BBQ cookouts we shared to the influential painting tips he offered to the home protection he provided...and so on...Reid was more than generous with his love, friendship and support.
And boy was his happiness contagious! If there was one important blessing he bestowed on me, it would be to slow down and take the time to not only appreciate the loved ones in my life, but just enjoy life in general. He was so good at doing that. He loved you so much, Mary Beth.

I took several painting classes from Reid. I loved his sense of humor and playfulness. And his paintings were spectacular! I remember he threw one of his "demos" in the trash and one of my classmates dug through it later to get the painting out. We'll really miss him at the Art Center. He was a good man.
