Dr. Robert J. Forsyth

Forsyth, Dr. Robert J. Professor emeritus of art history at Colorado State University, died in St. Paul on June 19, 2010, at the age of 88. During the years he taught at Texas Christian University, Hamline University, the University of Minnesota, and Colorado State University, he touched and enriched the lives of many students and colleagues. He is also well remembered for his tenure as education curator at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts during the 1950s. In addition, Forsyth was a veteran of World War II, having flown 25 missions over Germany as a pilot of B-17s. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7 at the Coventry Chapel of the Episcopal Church Homes of Minnesota, located at 1840 University Avenue West in St. Paul, Minnesota 55104.
