Werner, Weston (Wes) age 87, of Eagan, died Saturday, July 5th at the Fairview Southdale Hospital. He was a World War II veteran and served as Minnesota State Fire Marshall for many years. He was a charter member of the Minnesota Fire Chief's Association and a member of the Bloomington Association of Retired Firefighters and active in many other organizations. He is survived by wife, Becky; children, Sara (Rodney) Shoberg of Minnetonka, Rusty Lehto of Lake Kabetogama, MN, Debbie (Pete) Jagunich of Iron, MN and Rocky (Pat) Lehto of Lake Kabetogama, MN; grandchildren, Matthew Logelin, Nicholas (Molly) Logelin, Heather McKinley, Joshua (Jane) McKinley, Tina (Tom) Metz, Adam (Holly) Shoberg, Cheryl Jagunich, Mary Jagunich, Scott Jagunich, Parry (Debbie) Ketchmark, Keith (Lisa) Ketchmark; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marian (Walter) Anderson and Lola Claire (Don) Driessen; many special friends and four-legged friends, Murphy and Molly. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Margaret Werner; wife, Eileen Werner; infant daughter; daughter, Susan; son-in-law, Bruce McKinley; and granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth Logelin. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday, July 11th at the Hopkins Fire Department at 101 17th Ave. So., Hopkins, MN. Friends may call beginning at 10 AM Friday at the fire hall. Private interment will be in the Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights. Arrangements are with the Peterson Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca, MN, 320-983-3488.
