Anyone who knew Bev knows what a loss we have. Bev was one of the kindest, most thoughtful, accepting, selfless woman I have ever met. I'm going to miss her e-mails that were always hilarious, helping others or full of pertinent information that was really useful. See you again someday Bev!

I remember the first time I met Bev. I was at the VCA animal hospital in Richfield with a golden retriever from a long distance transport. I had brought him on one leg of his journey, and Bev was meeting me to take him on the next leg. We both sat in the exam room with him, and Bev talked him through his exam in the most reassuring way: before a vaccination she would say "It's going to pinch for just a second, but it will keep you from getting sick so it's a good thing," and then before his heartworm test she said calmly "They need to get a sample of your blood to make sure your heart is safe. I don't think it will hurt very much." She had such a calm manner and she was so connected with him that he breezed through his exam even though he was with strangers in a strange vet hospital. I was so impressed with her kindness, compassion and wisdom. I used Bev as my model when I started to take the my own foster animals from my home into the vet, and to help them stay relaxed as possible on transports. After the initial shock and sorrow, I wondered who would be our Minnesota rescue groups list moderator, who would take on that work since Bev was gone. I feel deeply the loss of the woman I saw as so tireless working for the disadvantaged and voiceless. How many times did she meet someone to transport an animal and save its life? How many phone calls and emails did she send? How many times did she meet another volunteer at a designated place on a highway, alone or with her friend Jane? I hope I can do just a fraction of the good she did in this world. I thank God for Bev. Her time here was too short but we were lucky to have her with us. Karen

Bev was a special person at her job. Bev reached out especially to children who were experiencing homelessness. She was passionate in her concern for both children and animals. We were lucky to have known her. We will miss her!

Beverly,
You had the biggest heart for the animals you protected and loved. The respect of so many that you worked with, an amazing lady. My special thanks to you for your help with the family tree. I know Uncle Ted will be there to welcome you.

I only met Bev once, she delivered our first dog to be fostered through RAGOM. She named her "Gracie" as she was a stray. Bev had a heart a of gold. She will be missed.

Bev,
We met when I was 17 and new to the twin cities and college. We shared a home and friends and about a million memories, like Lips, I remember your crazy cat Beans and the Friday night rearranging of furniture and Estabans maragritas. I was glad I got to see you a few years ago when I came to visit and glad that we kept our friendship up long distance. Even though we were separated by miles our closeness endured. You were a passionate person who fought for what they believed was right and I always respected that about you.
I will miss you my friend,
Love,

Bev's last duty here was to get the pregnant dog, Bianca a place to have her babies......and of course she called under the pretense to ask me to check with my 'contacts'. She somehow knew I'd take her. So it is only appropriate that the first pup born was a big girl, with lusty lungs, and thus I named her Bev:) I'm sure Bev is laughing her tush off. Just the last of many successful adventures in Bev's life of animal work. You will be missed beyond words by all of us, 2 and 4 legged!!

My deepest sympathy to Bev's human and animal family. She was a remarkable advocate for animals with the memory of an elephant. Recently she kept reminding me several times a week for several weeks to check on two goldens in an outdoor kennel. She was relentless until I did the visit and found the dogs were gone. I will miss Bev and hope that she and her beloved pets are dancing on heaven's side of the Rainbow Bridge.

My deepest condolences to all of Bev's family. Although I never met Bev in person, she proved over & over to be a very devoted animal lover& dedicated rescuer of all God's special creatures. She helped me many times with removing thousands upon thousands of God's precious creatures off of death row from many different high-kill shelters, and then finding placement for those animals in both local and out-of-state rescue foster homes & helping them locate their new, loving, protective forever homes.
She will be deeply missed by ALL OF US who are one way or another involved in the animal rescue ministry.
See you in Heaven Bev!

Bev my dear, we go way back, to Friday night margaritas during college days, your cat Beans, and who could forget the gourmet fare I offered in my one room apartment? My Potato Chip Chicken wasn't entirely edible, but it got you to laugh during another time of great sorrow. I am glad that I got to see you recently, with your great smile and laugh and the strong will that got you through so much pain and gave you the resolve to keep giving back with great love. Smile down on me, sweetie. I am smiling up at you. -"Lips"

Bev- Thank you so much for your hard work and the way you loved so many who you would never even meet. You helped me so many, many times and I will never forget that. I will always remember you as someone who inspired me to persevere even when the going gets tough, like you did. You will not be forgotten... Many people and furry friends love and will miss you...

I miss you my friend. My sympathies to your family and friends, When I look into the night sky and see the stars, I know that you have cought the one you wanted. You now look out for the animals and friends from heaven. The work you did will always be remembered. The animals sing the song of the person who loved them more than anyone could have understood. Bless you my friend with love. To Spot, walk with her as she walks the golden paths. Play as you did as a pup. Keep each other in heaven as you did on earth. Thank you both for coming into my life.

Bev, you will be greatly missed by those of us left behind to continue our rescue efforts... following your exceptional footsteps!
So glad to have met you last year when transporting that little kitty down from Duluth - whom you eventually placed with "Home-For-Life", when no one else would step forward and save her...
I know that - where you are now - you will be forever surrounded by the love of those you've helped rescue.
Save me a seat under a shady tree in the midst of a LARGE field - so we can accommodate all those we've collectively saved?
Our love goes with you, Bev...
Bless you, for all you've done - for all you are - from all you've inspired!

We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Bev K. While I did not ever get an opportunity to meet Bev in person, she was one who guided myself and my family on a journey reaching into animal welfare. She was such a caring person, and was selfless in every aspect of her avocation. We have lost a wonderful advocate and friend in the MN rescue community and beyond......
