Nancy made a difference in the lives of many and for sure in my life! I met Nancy in Buffalo at the Connect Retreat for women surviving cancer. Nancy compiled stories of survivors and shared hope through the books. I was just one of many she blessed with hope.
Her funeral was a beautiful tribute to her life and to our Lord.
I will see you later, Nancy. God bless you!

Woody and family.. Nancy and I have been friends since we were 15 years old. We have always kept track of each other after all these years. She was a faithful, loving, friend and confidant. This world is a better place because of her.

Dear Woody,
Although I did not know Nancy well, I recall seeing her smiling face, now and then, throughout my teaching career. She was always upbeat!
My sympathies are with you and your family, Woody.

Most sincerely,

God bless you Belpedios. We are so blessed to have known Nancy. We'll always remember her rare mix of kindness and toughness. Through the last ten years, she was always frank about her illness, yet she was always positive. She taught us how to live remarkably. Our prayers and love are with you.

Thinking of you all as you remember Nancy. She was such a fighter and an inspiration to so many. Loved reading her CaringBridge journal entries. She made me laugh and cry. May your loving memories of her always be in your heart.

Dear Woody, Erin, Em,
In attempting to convey Nancy's impact on so many people, someone today handed me a card that read 'Memories are a key, not to the past...but to the future." May the many memories we all share about Nancy brighten our future and make each of us remember her courage and commitment to God, her family and her friends.

Dear Woody and family, I was very sad to hear of her passing in church last Sunday. I did not know Nancy well but considered her a friend. We joined family of God after she started her battle with cancer. I got to know her the most on a scrapbooking retreat. I had some bad heartburn the first night that I way trying to get rid of and she was the only one still wake. I sat at the table next to hers and learned about her family and life. She was so very proud of all of you. I continued to keep in touch with her at church during her fight. She was one brave lady and always had a smile upon her face. It's hard to say good bye to someone as special as her, but remember that she is with God now and is pain free. God bless you all. She will be missed by so many.

Special thoughts of sympathy to Woody, Emilie, and Erin.
Nancy shared, inspired, and her life was a blessing to many...she showed us how to face challenges and to keep believing. Nancy brought sunshine into lives through her challenges. Thank you Nancy for all you gave to us through your living and giving.

What a great and dear friend Nancy was. I will never forget our book"less" breakfast meetings with Anoka Hennepin friends where we always had so much to talk about that we rarely reviewed a book. Nancy was the glue that organized our get togethers. Fabulous memories that will bring a smile to my face for a long time.
Prayers and Sympathy to Woody and girls

It's been many years since Nancy taught with us at Hamilton Elementary but I still remember her lively spirit. She fit in perfectly with our staff, showed us some quilting techniques and shared stories about how not to sit when you are little to avoid "bad knees" . News of her illness reached us here through the years as does the sadness of her untimely passing.
With thoughts and sympathy,

What a rewarding and enjoyable time working with Nanc on her Touched By Cancer books, Volumes I and II. There was always time for hardy laughter. You will be greatly missed. It is a comfort knowing that you are at peace and pain-free, Nanc.

Nancy will be remembered by me as an energetic and caring special education teacher at Oxbow Elementary School. She always had a smile on her face and all of her students knew that she cared! My thought and prayers go out to her family as they transition their lives without Nancy. What a struggle she put up, her Caring Bridge entries were fun to read despite her real health problems. Thanks also to Missy for taking over when Nancy could no longer participate in the writing. Gail Krasean, Sun City West, AZ

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Woody, Erin and Emilie: Nancy was a wonderful teacher in every sense of the word. She was teaching us all right up to her last day in this locale. She taught very special students in Anoka-Hennepin, She taught teachers how to be better teachers, and she taught us all how to live with courage and tenacity. Lastly, she taught us all what it means to be a and loving mother and wife. May her lessons live on with all of us as we think of her with much love in the future.

Dear Woody, Erin, Emilie and members of Nancy's family, my deepest sympathy and sorrow for your loss, especially as a beloved Mother, Wife and Sister. Nancy always was so very kind to everyone, especially to strangers, like myself, whom she even invited to stay in her home and befriended. I will miss her "never give up the fight" spirit, laugh and excitement about new ideas and projects; creating and publishing books about Cancer survivors. May you have comfort knowing that your dearest Nancy is free of pain and with the Lord. Ann Elizabeth Hernon (married to Gene Voda, Kathy Belpedio's father)
