Rehfeld, Dorris Norvia (nee Rumunyesti de Fabry) of St. Paul. Born May 25, 1921, died February 16, 2012. Preceded in death by beloved husband Harold W. Rehfeld of St. Paul. She was the last survivor of a noble Hungarian-Italian lineage, and she and her brother Arthur, now deceased, lived their early childhood years with their paternal grand- parents, the Baron Silvius Ludwig Rumunyesti de Fabry and the Contessa Louisa Teolinda Ravissa in Turin. These were very important formative years for her, all of another era, which she never forgot. Dorris had an incredible life, one that she claimed was a series of vicissitudes of fortune, brought about mainly by Fate. She was a talented commercial artist in New York. She saw the world, lived in Asia and Europe, did it all, and faced much adversity in her life, with courage. Survived by daughter Sandra Van Curan of Boston, stepdaughter Judith Brown of Cape Coral, Florida, and stepson John Rehfeld of DelMar, California. She specifies no funeral or memorial.
