Greenberg, Myra Lois (Silberg) age 90 of St. Paul, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away October 4, 2012 after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born in Minneapolis on January 1, 1922, and graduated from Minneapolis North High School. Preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruth Silberg; brother, Sid Silberg; and her son, Jon Greenberg. She is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, Lionel; son Stanley (Dossie B.) and their children, Shavon, Andre, Jacob and Leah; daughter Renni (Danny Gallagher) and their children, Tavish and Conor; son Neil (Frank Mullaney); and great-grandchildren Robert, Anjali, Marcus and Michael. Myra received the Mt. Zion Temple Sisterhood's third Woman of Valor award in 1988 for her community leadership and contributions as a volunteer for many organizations, including: the
's Reach to Recovery program at United Hospital, a mastectomy visiting program; the State Ethical Practices Board of Minnesota; League of Women Voters; Jewish Family Service; Hadassah and Mt. Zion Temple, among others. In addition, she was an active member of School District 197 PTA and also of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), and served as the campaign manager for Audrey Wegworth in her run for Dakota County Commissioner. She demonstrated characteristic courage, humor and grace to the end. She loved her family, and is loved by them.
