Weber, Robert G. "Bob" age 75, of Mpls, died on Oct. 3, 2012 after a long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his brother, Richard; his daughters, Rebecca and Rachel; and his loving wife of 53 years, Julia Ann. He will be remembered by his family and many supportive friends. Bob was a partner for the firm of Fredrikson & Byron, from 1963 up until his death. He served as a lecturer, educator, and mentor to the next generation of lawyers. In 1991, Bob received the distinction of being named in the publication of "The Best Lawyers in America." Bob's life will be celebrated at a memorial on Monday, Oct. 8 at 11 AM in Kenwood at the Thomas Lowry Park (7 Pools), 900 Douglas Ave S., Mpls, MN 55403, with a reception to follow at the First Unitarian Church, 900 Mount Curve Ave., Mpls, MN 55403. Bob chose this location because of his fond memories of spending time at 7 Pools with his family and friends. Bob loved witty humor, classic animation, mystery novels, and a variety of music including Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Billy Joel and jazz. His ashes will be spread at one of his favorite places, The North Shore of Lake Superior. In lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted by "Our Lady of Peace Home" in St. Paul where Bob received extremely thoughtful care during his final days. Contributions may also be made to "The Angel Foundation" which provides grants for people suffering from cancer.
