McClelland, Robert Rugh, M.D. Passed 9/28/2012. Born in Pikeville, Kentucky on 09/27/1932 to Thelma and Frank McClelland, Bob was raised in Maryville, Tennessee where he graduated from High School in 1950. He attended one year at Maryville College before being appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He graduated with an engineering degree in 1955 and served in the U.S. Army for 7 years attaining the rank of Captain. He then studied medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Bob specialized in radiology, in particular interventional radiology. He served as president of St. Paul Radiology, and continued to work in the field that he loved until age 72. He was a loving family man that enjoyed camping and hiking in the BWCA and running marathons. Bob is survived by his wife, Katherine; brother, Frank Morgan McClelland; step-mother, Vicki Johnson (Lincoln); children, Pamela Karin McClelland, Dawn McClelland, Robert D. McClelland (Misi), Scott McClelland, Susan Maxwell (Jamie) and Daniel McClelland; grandchildren, Lily McClelland, Ava McClelland and Jake McClelland. A private service and burial is planned at Ft.
