Selinsky, Matthew Thomas 89, passed to eternity December 1, 2012 after an extended illness. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Caroline; siblings, Clarence, Irene, Susan, Arnold, and Carl; and 2 nieces; Matt is survived by 10 nieces and nephews and their children, other family, and friends. Orphaned at age 2 and challenged by having only formal elementary education, Matt went on to serve his country in the US Navy for 20 years, and the VA Hospital Fire Service for 20 years. He owned businesses and invested generously in people during his years, helping other people achieve their interests. In addition to all of Matt's varied experiences and extensive travels, probably that most precious to him has been the discovery of a personal relationship with Christ, in his most recent journey. A celebration of Matt's life will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Washburn-McReavy, Nokomis Park Chapel, 1838 East Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis, with a visitation starting at 9:30 AM and service starting at 10:30 AM. Lunch to follow service. Interment to be Monday, December 17, 10 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Veteran's Administration or American Red Cross. www.Washburn-McReavy.com Nokomis Park Chapel 612-721-1651
