Andre, Florence "Nonnie" Beloved wife, proud mama, doting grand- ma, and tireless advocate for social justice - Age 74 Passed away surrounded by her family December 10, 2012. A grand woman, a lively and lovely lady, a gentle spirit, a loyal friend of good humor with a unique ability to connect with people of all stripes. Hearts are sad today, but there is joy in Paradise. Nonnie was a leader in motivating religious and political institutions to Advocate for health care, housing, and legislation that protects and helps improve the lives of the most vulnerable in our society. She was recognized by the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition in 2007 with the Interfaith Social Justice Award for her 20 years of tireless effort. She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Susan, Paul and Scott; grandchildren, Ellie, Isaac, Theo, Eli, and Rowan; her sister, Jeannie Blomeke, and her brother, Jim Uhlenkamp. Her family is forever grateful and strengthened by their time in her warm, wise and loving embrace. Preceded in death in by father Henry Uhlenkamp, mother Anne Uhlenkamp, aunt Frannie Lohaus, and sisters, Rosalia, Bernice, Viola, Evelyn, and Loretta. Monday, December 17th at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2131 Fairview Avenue North, Roseville, MN 55113, 12:00 pm (funeral mass). Gathering with food after the mass.
