Playing in orchestra with David was a delight, musically and socially. He took music making seriously and was generous in his compliments to and friendship with his musical colleagues. My condolences to you in his family and my gratitude for sharing him with us.

Please accept my sincere sympathies to all his family and to Mary Beth. I played on many occasions with both David and Mary Beth, and with many groups around the Twin Cities. My father also appreciated his craftsmanship as well as his playing. He will be greatly missed.

I have many memories of creating music with Dave. He was one of the first friends I made when I moved here 30 years ago, from Oklahoma. We met in the then 3M Symphony Orchestra, where he played 1st violin, 2nd violin, and sometimes viola. I had a bow that needed rehairing, and he offered to do it. Over the years we became good music friends, playing in quartets, trios and other small groups, for weddings, dinner parties and more. I have one of the bows that he made for me, and cherish it. He was kind, and generous with his time, and loved sharing his music. I will miss him. Blessings to his family and his dear friend Mary Beth, as you remember Dave.
