Jacobsen, Raymond age 88, of Mpls, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 24, 2007. Ray loved the Lord, his family, his church and sports. He is survived by his wife, Dora; daughters, Yvonne (John) Vaughn, Karen (Paul) Johnson and Linda (Steve) Packer; grandchildren, Dustin (Kelly) Vaughn, Lori (Eric) Hance, Marc Johnson, Jaime (Jason) Matt, Jason Packer, Jodi (Brad) Groves, Jeffrey (Gretchen) Packer and 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Custer; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials preferred to Waite Park Wesleyan Church. Funeral service Monday, 11 AM at Waite Park Wesleyan Church, 1510 33rd Ave NE. Visitation one hour prior to service at church and 4-6 PM Sunday at: Washburn-McReavy Northeast Chapel 612-781-6828 2901 Johnson St. NE

Raymond, was a gentle loving father and husband to his family but I always kidding my aunt that he was my solider boy not hers, as I first saw him in uniform and very handsome.

Uncle Ray, Tho we were not able to see each other much you were always "my solider doll" Poor aunt Dora had to share. You will be greatly missed by so many in the family. Rest now but watch over your loved ones.

So sorry to har about the loss of your dad, Yvonne, Linda and Karen. I wish I could share with you at the funeral but can't. I broke my arm this week and can't drive yet. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be in touch.
