Quast, John 45, Maple Grove, MN, died on Friday, May 16th, 2008 at Unity Hospital, Fridley, MN. John Charles Quast was born on September 12, 1962 at Minneapolis, Minnesota, son of Eugene and Penny (Patchen) Quast. He grew up and was educated at Coon Rapids, MN, graduating from high school at Blaine. He served in the US Army, upon discharge from the Army, he worked as a truck driver for JB Meats and then with Waste Management of Ramsey, MN. He owned and operated a Subway in St. Louis Park. He had worked for the USPS in their St. Paul mail sorting location. He loved fantasy football and ran his own fantasy football league; he also enjoyed playing poker at Alligators in Maple Grove. John is survived by his daughter, Candace of Maple Grove; mother, Penny Quast of Princeton; brothers, Michael (Diane) Quast of Cedar, MN, Kevin Quast of Barnum, MN, Tim Quast of Princeton, MN, and Paul Quast of Anoka, MN; two sisters, Micky (Dave) Mekosch of Ramsey, MN and Pam Quast of Ham Lake, MN; sister-in-law, Rose Quast of Andover, MN; nieces and nephews; special friend, Roxanne Gilbert of Maplewood, MN. Visitation: 5 PM to 8 PM, Monday, May 19th, 2008 at the funeral home and for one hour before services at the church. Funeral 5:00 PM, Tuesday, May 20th at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Princeton, MN.
