Carlson, Mildred E. Age 91, of New Hope, Edina, Mpls., passed away on April 16, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by parents, husband Elmer, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Graduated from Swedish Hosp. as an RN, Bloomington School Nurse for 20 years. Longtime member of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. Survived by daughters, Jill (Jeff) Vakoc, Janelle (Peter) Mattson; grandchildren, Jennie (Brent) Krzmarzick, and Jason Vakoc and fianceé Teza Alvité; great-grandchildren, Caiden and Chase Krzmarzick. Celebration of her life will be on Fri., 4/20, at 3:00 PM at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. So., Mpls. Visitation one hour before the service. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
