Lunn, Robert "Bob" Joseph Age 94, of Edina passed away peacefully at his home on May 3, 2013. Bob was born to Joseph and Annie May Lunn on September 12, 1918 in Biwabik and was raised in Nashwauk, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Bettsy, and his 3 younger brothers, Charles, Richard and Arthur. Bob graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1940. He was employed by Donaldson Company from 1940 until he retired in 1983 as Vice President of Technology. Bob was awarded three US patents during his work at Donaldson. He got a graduate degree from Northwestern University's Institute of Management in 1965 and was a lifetime member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the American Legion. Bob was also a Staff Sergeant in the US Army from 1944-46 serving his tour at Pearl Harbor. Bob is survived by his four children, Beth Lunn, Barbara Peterson (Howard), Beverly White (George) and Rob Lunn; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalie Peterson; Bettsy White, her fiance Jason Brank and Peter White; and Seth, Susan and Sarah Lunn; his sister-in-law, Pat Lunn, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 6716 Gleason Road, Edina. Private inurnment Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Minneapolis. The family would like to thank the staff of Home Instead Senior Care, Karen Lawrence of Matrix Advocare Network and the Hospice staff of Fairview Hospital for their care of Bob in his final weeks.
