Love and strength to Jane, Caleb, Reece, and Molly. Rob was so special, a true gentleman whose thoughtfulness, patience, and rich sense of humor made everyone want to be around him. Rob was an empathetic friend and always had a kind word and wise advice when I needed it. He was also a lot of fun to hang out with. He's the only friend I have who nicknamed my nickname, which made me feel extra fancy; I think he made all of us feel that way. He loved and admired Jane so much. He loved his boys so much. He took his job and his family responsibilities seriously. He always put other people first. I could go on and on… Rob, along with so many others, I'm truly grateful that I got to be your friend, and I really miss you! LOVE!

I can't imagine the loss of this fine man to his family and the CPA community. I subbed at CPA the last couple years and witnessed his warmth and sincere concern for others.

Rob will continue to be a great inspiration to our family as my daughter's godfather and her father's best friend. Personally, I always felt more alive after spending time with the White-Whitlock family. Thank you, Rob. You are dearly missed and with us always with your smile, your encouragement, your intellect, wit and everlasting warmth.

Rob was one of the first people I met at Carleton College. I was immediately drawn to his sincere warmth, his unique humor, and his genuine nature. He reminded me of my brother right away and I always felt an incredible connection to him. Years later, when I met Jane in Seattle, I felt that same connection and knew these two were meant to be together. Rob will always be with me. I feel honored to have known and loved Rob.

I can't begin to express my feelings on the loss of Rob. I had the absolute delight of working with him for some 13 years at Community of Peace Academy and his presence there will be missed by so many. The kids at CPA adored Mr. White as did all of his colleagues. Rest in Peace Rob. Blessings to Jane, Caleb and Reese.

I work as a social worker in St Paul Schools and had to coordinate services for a family who had a couple of children at CPA. My contact there was Rob. Even though I have never met him and it was only a couple of phone conversations, it was difficult not to discern Rob's empathy and kindness for the families he worked with. He is a big loss to the community. My sympathies to his family, friends and CPA.
