STATESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Craig Steven Smith, age 52, died Friday night in the Ogeechee Area Hospice Home after a short illness. He was a native of Queens, New York but had been living in Statesboro for the past 8 years. Mr. Smith was employed with CSX Railroad Transportation as a Signalman and Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald Edgar and Rosalee Smith and a son Terrance Edward Smith.
Survivors are his wife Gloria Smith of Statesboro. One Son Nigel Steven Smith of Baltimore, MD. One grandson Noel Steven Smith of Baltimore, MD.; two sisters Cynthia Clark of Hephzibah, GA. and Ezelma Smith of Baltimore, MD.; two brothers Reginald Edgar Smith, Jr. of Jamaica, N.Y. and Kenneth Smith of Bronx, N.Y.; a brother in law Willie Edward Seymour of Statesboro, GA.; one niece, two great nieces and one great nephew.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Dorsia Atkinson officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531 Statesboro, Ga. 30459 or St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
