STATESBORO, Ga. -- Dorothy L. Wilson, age 90, passed away Sunday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County and was a member of the Statesboro First United Methodist Church. She taught school for over 30 years and retired from the Liberty County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudson and Lillian Wilson; two sisters and two brothers, Louise Coleman, Sarah Newton, Winton Wilson and Rufus Wilson.
Survivors include her niece, Claire (Jere) Ginn of Statesboro; her nephews, John Newton of Millen and Garnett Newton of Marietta; two great-nephews and one great-niece.
The graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Eastside Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Cason officiating.
