Mrs. Janice Faye Brown

SYLVANIA, Ga. -- Mrs. Janice Faye Brown, age 51, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Statesboro. A native of Savannah, Georgia, she attended Effingham County High School. Janice was a former district manager for the Statesboro Herald and was currently employed with Georgia Southern University as a landscaper.
Janice's greatest joy was time spent playing with her grandchildren and traveling to the mountains.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Brandi Johnson Sanders and John Sanders of Twin City and Heather Johnson Sikes of Brooklet; her father and stepmother, Billy and Marilyn Brown of Rocky Ford; and her mother, Betty Rogers of Sylvania; a sister, Patty Bullard of Savannah; and three grandchildren, Payne Sanders, Creed Sanders and Ryan Sikes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
