Joseph Cornelius Ludlam III, 65, died Thursday, March 27, in the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta.
Mr. Ludlam was a native and lifelong resident of Brooklet and was a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. Joseph was a U.S. Army
veteran of the Vietnam War
and had worked as a truck driver with Vantage Truck Lines. He was also a machinist and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cornelius Ludlam Jr. and Bertha Ludlam Morris; stepfather, Jessie Morris; sisters, Ella Beasley and Elizabeth Herring.
He is survived by son, Robert John Ludlam of Norfolk, Va.; daughter, Anna Nichole Ludlam of Brooklet; sister, Elinor L. Carter of Savannah.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Watts officiating. Burial will be held privately in Brooklet City Cemetery.
