Ms. Minnie Lee Kitchens

Ms. Minnie Lee Kitchens, 82, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Brightmoor Nursing Home in Griffin, GA.
Minnie was born in Bulloch County on April 15, 1931 and lived the majority of her life in Statesboro. She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Mary Hendrix and her husband James Clifford Kitchens. Minnie worked for many years at Sears and Belk Department stores and at Kitchens Korner. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church for over 50 years and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law James David (Jim) and Darlene Kitchens of Griffin; Clifford Dewayne Kitchens of Adrian; sister Ruth Murray of Statesboro, sister and brother-in-law Mattie and Buford White of Statesboro, sister Carlene Davis of Hilliard Fla., a brother Buck Hendrix of Lilburn; grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Jonathan and David Kitchens and Steven Cowart; great-grandchildren Gabriella and Logan Kitchens, Alyssa and Gabriel Kitchens, Steven and Madison Cowart.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home located at 22757 Hwy. 80 East, Statesboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Max Alderman officiating. Burial will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens at Hwy 80 East in Statesboro.
