Roberta S. Ellrod, 68, died Wednesday, April 2, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Ellrod was a native of Ohio and had lived most of her life in Bulloch and Bryan counties. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Watkins; and her husband, George Julius Ellrod.
Mrs. Ellrod is survived by five sons, Joey Ellrod, and his wife, Patricia, of Clito, James Stanley Ellrod, and his wife, Vicki, of Ellabell, George Julius Ellrod Jr., and his wife, Michelle, of Sylvania, Raymond E. Ellrod, and his wife, Jodell, of Statesboro, and Joseph Jackson Ellrod, and his wife, Karieanna, of Register; daughter, Debra S. Hice, and her husband, Richard, of Ellabell; adopted son, Joshua Lee Ellrod of Bainbridge; one brother, James Arthur Watkins, Ellijay; 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Mike Holt officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
