William Frank Dobson

STATESBORO, Ga. -- William Frank Dobson, born August 1, 1925, joined the Lord on February 27, 2014. Frank was born in Hampton, S.C. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II, serving on the USS Levy for four years. After his military services, he began work at Union Camp in Savannah, Georgia, and retired after 30 years in 1995. After his retirement, he moved to Statesboro. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and attended Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. Frank loved music and played the guitar, banjo and harmonica, but most of all, he loved his Lord and his "Sug ".
Surviving is his wife, Marjorie; his stepchildren, Kay Strickland, Bonnie MacAulay and Bobby White of Savannah, Georgia; a sister, Betty Duberly of Jacksonville, Florida; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Reverend Joe Eason officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
