Forrest Kibler Obituary

STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Forrest Alexander Kibler, age 25, died Friday evening. He was born September 2, 1991, at the Naval Military Hospital in Oakland, California. Forrest resided in Alameda, Calif.; Guantanamo Naval Base, Cuba; Norfolk, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; Rota, Spain; Peachtree City, Ga.; Macon, Ga.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Ellaville, Ga., before making Statesboro his home. He attended Statesboro High School and earned his GED through the Youth Challenge Program at Fort Stewart. He was currently a student at Georgia Southern University.
Forrest's favorite pastimes were swimming and surfing the beach, fishing, snowboarding and riding his motorcycle. After earning his GED, Forrest was passionate about self-improvement and getting a college degree. While academic study was never easy for him, he refused to give up or get frustrated. He had the upmost respect for and appreciation of the Georgia Southern staff and professors for their efforts to help him succeed.
His quirky little smile and easy going nature will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Zoe Eustathiades; father, Chris Kibler; and his sister, Lauren Kibler, all of Statesboro.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, November 12th, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 4401 Country Club Road, Statesboro, GA 30458. The Reverend Joan Killian will officiate.
