Barbara Powers Chapman Dixon, 78 died Friday, November 1, in East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Dixon was born and raised in South Carolina and lived in Savannah for 13 years before moving to Stilson in 1986.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Savannah and was a homemaker and loving mother.
She is survived by: 3 sons, John Chapman (Brenda), Brooklet; George Powers and Sammy Powers, both of Lexington, NC; 2 daughters, Holly Powers, Lexington, NC and Barbara Dickerson, Roxboro, NC; brother, Luther B. DeWitt, Florence, SC; 16 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6–8 p.m. Monday, November 4, in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Ron Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park-West in Savannah.
Hodges-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
