SYLVANIA - Carrie Frances Andrews, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. She was born in Screven County and was a retired dispatcher for the Sylvania Police Department, where she served faithfully for 25 years. She was also a member of Sylvania First Baptist Church, the Elizabeth Sunday School Class of Sylvania First Baptist Church and the Betty Carpenter W.M.U. Circle. She was preceded in death by her father, Peyton Lafayette Andrews; mother, Ruth Crews Andrews Mock.

Survivors: aunt and uncles, Rufus Crews of Savannah and Grace and Gerald Cook of Albany, Ga.; several cousins.
Visitation: Friday, February 5, 2010, from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service: Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Sylvania First Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial in Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Alton Crews, David Crews, Eddie Crews, Donnie Bennett, Gary Crews, Ron Crews, Jason Crews and Randy Crews.
Honorary pallbearers: Sylvania Police Department, Sylvania Fire Department and Mark Trethaway.
Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
