Cecelia Anderson Ysbrand, 72, passed away peacefully at home at 11:50 p.m. on February 21 after a sudden illness. She was born on March 16, 1941, in Statesboro, Georgia, to William Cecil and Katie Lou (Denmark) Anderson.

Cecelia graduated from Statesboro High School in Statesboro, Ga., and was a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in dental hygiene and dental assisting. She spent most of her career as a dental assistant to Donald Crockett, D.D.S. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Even though Cecelia moved to Missouri 46 years ago, she always maintained her deep southern accent, charm and hospitality.
Cecelia married Floyd Richard Ysbrand on November 13, 1975. He preceded her in death along with her parents and sister, Fay Anderson.
Cecelia is survived by her three children, Shala Scearce Rogler and husband, Jeff, of Carthage, Carr Scearce of Springfield and Andrea Ysbrand Wilson and husband, Brandon, of Lee's Summit. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lauren Rogler and fiancé, Greg Whiston, Hunter Scearce and Bella Wilson. Additional survivors include her lifetime friends, "The Peaches" of Statesboro, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at Knell Mortuary.
The family will receive friends at the Ysbrand home in Carthage on Friday, February 28, from 7-9 p.m.
