Following a brief illness, retired Chief Master Sgt. Carol "Ed" Edwards went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2014. Ed loved the Colorado Rocky Mountains and planned to build a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with the love of his life, Dale Tapley Edwards. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets and enjoyed competition shooting and turkey shoots.
