CEDARTOWN, Ga. - Mr. Edward E. Frasier, age 87, of Cedartown, Ga., passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 following an extended illness. Mr. Frasier was born on July 18, 1923 in Dawson, Alabama to his parents, the late E.V. & Miriam Frasier. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Bowen and in June of 2010 by his loving wife of 64 years, Geneva F. Frasier.

Edward and Geneva both had been faithful and dedicated members of Southside Baptist Church since 1946 and at the time of his death, he was the oldest living member. He was a retired deacon and had served for over fifty years. Edward was a member of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class, & was a member of the brotherhood of Southside Baptist Church. He was retired from the Clifford D. Fite Wholesale Company of Cedartown, where he served as a senior Salesman until his retirement at the age of 84. He was also a past mason & member of the Caledonia Lodge #121 F&AM and he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Edward will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his daughter, Freda F. Johnson, his granddaughters, Heather Wayne & John, Amy Weiser & Todd and Ginger Johnson, his great grandchildren, Ella Kay Wayne, Tyson Edward Weiser and Adelyn Caroline Wayne, his brother and sister in law, Vick & Sue Frasier and his sister, Geneva Meadows. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Joel Smith & the Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis, Jr. officiating and Mr. Harold Morgan speaking. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Northview Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Dabbs conducting committal and full military honors being conducted at graveside by the Brewster-Cleveland Post 86 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 5 until 9p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.
The following Gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Mark Frasier, Henry Brown, Seals W. Swafford, Jerry Collier, Joe Collier, Larry Easterwood, Grant McAuley and Andy Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Mr. Harold Morgan, Mr. Harold Wiggins and the Deacons of Southside Baptist Church.
