Mrs. Georgia Mae Colbert, age 80, passed away Thursday, January 23rd, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a North Carolina native, but resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a member of the Johnson Grove Baptist Church of Portal, Ga., and retired a Salvage Department manager at Andrews Commissary of Camp Springs, Maryland.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Joe Colbert of Statesboro, Ga.; her loving daughters, Ms. Patricia Taylor Colbert of Statesboro, Ga., and Mrs. Montrese Diggs (Kevin) of Woodbridge, Va.; her loving sons, Mr. Carl Colbert of Brandywine, Md., Mr. Albert Colbert of Pentagon City and Mr. David Beathea (Cathy) of Ohio; her loving sisters, Mrs. Mae Alice Gordon (Oliver) of Brentwood, Md., Ms. Bessie Wiley of Lanham, Md., Mrs. Margaret Dixon (Ronnie) of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Lolie Powell (Ceoze) of Fort Washington, Md., Ms. Lois Beathea and Ms. Ruth Beathea, both of Pinhurst, N.C., and Ms. Minnie Harris of Atlanta, Ga.; her loving brothers, Mr. Charles Beathea of Pinehurst, N.C., and Mr. Jonathan Beathea (Christine) of Fayetteville, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mrs. Georgia Mae Colbert will be Saturday, February 1st, from 10-11 a.m. at Johnson Grove Baptist Church, Portal, Ga.
The Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Georgia Mae Colbert will be Saturday, February 1st, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Grove Baptist Church, Portal, Ga., with the Rev. John C. Newkirk, pastor, presiding, and Minister Patrease Hawkins, eulogist. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Highway 80 East, Statesboro, Ga.
There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
