Janet F. Watkins, age 74, passed away Friday April 11 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

Janet was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, playing bingo and attending church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and June Brammer, and her husband Clyde Watkins.
She is survived by her four children: Rickey Watkins (Joy), Dreama Powell (Charles), Mark Watkins, Ronald Watkins (Lisa); 11 grandchildren: Angie Watkins, Richard Watkins, Rickey Watkins Jr., Dwight Watkins, Jonathan Watkins, Dylan Watkins, Rachel Watkins, Alan Powell, David Powell, Lesley Watkins, and Winston Watkins; six great-grandchildren: Cali Powell, Hannah Powell, Charles Craven, Payton Powell, C.J. Powell, Cohen Freeman; two sisters Sharon (Glen) Sutliff, Fostoria, Ohio and Constance Star Williams, Semmes, Alabama, and a brother-in-law Arthur Watkins, Elijay, Ga.; longtime friend Melody; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to staff of Brown's Nursing Home for the care Janet received, and also to Ogeechee Area Hospice.
A memorial service will be Saturday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Believers Church in Statesboro with Mike Oglesby officiating.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral and Low Country Cremation is serving the Watkins family.
