STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Jessie Ruth Cannon Driggers, age 69, died Monday morning at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. The Brooklet, Georgia, native was the daughter of the late Jesse and Wilma Ruth Hodges Cannon. She lived in Bryan County until she married and then returned to Bulloch County. Mrs. Driggers was a homemaker and attended the Lower Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, John "Boots" Driggers of Statesboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Terry Harvin of Macon and Tammy and Bryan Bacon of Pembroke; a son, John "Bubba" Driggers of Statesboro; six grandchildren and a sister, Deane Cannon of Rincon.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The graveside service and burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Daniel Strickland officiating.
