MILLEN, Ga. –- Jimmy Lee Adams, 71, died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Optim Medical Center.

He was born in Jenkins County, a U.S. Army veteran, a retired route salesman for Derst Baking Company and member of West Millen Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the West Millen Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Allen and Dr. Ray Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie A. (Frank) Joiner; a brother, Ronald (Marie) Adams; and a granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Joiner, all of Millen.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Adams, Ray Garvin, Larry Evans, Michael Hendrix, Tommy Stephens, Glenn Stephens, Jerry Lee Becton and Jessy Myers.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of West Millen Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
Crowe-Fields Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
