Sylvania - Joseph Richard "Ricky" Bell, age 46, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, along with his fiancée, Taymer Ann Foote, in an auto accident. He was born in Screven County, was a member of Little Ogeechee Baptist Church where he was the secretary for Sunday School and was also an usher. He was preceded in death by his Father: Jesse Thomas Bell, Sr.; Step-Father: Tony Volf.
Survivors: Mother, Marion "Jo" Lane Volf of Sylvania; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Laura Bell of Sylvania and Douglas and Regina Bell of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, January 2, 2008, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Double Funeral Services: Services for Mr. Bell and Fiancée, Taymer Ann Foote will be held, Saturday, January 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Little Ogeechee Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Edenfield officiating. They will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Both will be buried at Little Ogeechee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Herbert Holland, William "Buddy" Bell, Jr., James Waters, Glen Davis and Budgie Clifton. Honorary Pallbearers: Herman Holland, Damus Rowe, Bill Harrison, Dick Brower, Deacons of Little Ogeechee Baptist Church, Charlie Volf and Steve Volf.
Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
