ELLABELL - Mr. Larry "Shorty" Bevill, 58, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Bevill was born to the late Charles and Ruth Strickland Bevill and lived in Ellabell all of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Crawford Bevill; children, Charles Bevill, Samantha Smith and Ruth Bevill; grandchildren, Sarah Moyer, Alexis Smith, Ashtyn Smith, Connor and Taylor Darnstaedt; brothers, Jack and Charles Bevill; and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Mr. Bevill will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel, in Pooler.
The funeral to honor Mr. Bevill's life will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Beulah Baptist Church, located off of Highway 280, in Bryan County. The Rev. Dan Bryant will officiate.
The pallbearers will be Terry Strickland, Jerry Strickland, Al Strickland, Robert Strickland, Renard Davis and Junior Myers. Burial will follow in Ellabell United Methodist Church Cemetery on Highway 204.
